Super Moon in the Smokies

Sure am glad that digital cameras don't require film.  Super Moon night was very cloudy in the Great Smoky Mountain area of Western North Carolina.  I probably shot two dozen pictures and this was the best one.  The clouds were rapid movers and I was only able to see this little bit around 9pm.

Would love to see shots from other ActiveRain people.  Would you mind posting them in your comments and let me know where you live?

I took a drive, at sunset, for about 30 miles to try a and
capture the Supermoon..... but, I too, had heavy cloud cover, and couldn't see it until rose very high in the sky. I was hoping for a shot of it coming up at the horizon with jagged desert peaks in the foreground.... maybe in an another 18 years!  thanks for sharing your shot!

Hello Teri, Thanks for looking at my frustrated attempt to capture the Super Moon!  Let's trade our next endeavors in 18 years...of course I'll have to find someone to keep my hand steady...
