Update On My Laugh For The Day, Treasures Thrift Shop, Madison Alabama

A few days ago I wrote a post about a sign that I saw at Treasures Thrift Shop titled; My Laugh For The Day, Treasures Thrift Shop, Madison Alabama.  It's about my cousin Jeff and his wife Mary.  If you haven't read it you might want to get filled in with a little back info...before you read the rest...it's short.

So this morning around 8:30 am I get a call from Mary telling me that I'm not going to believe what she has to say.  It turns out that because of the above sign and I'll repeat here that it's a joke...the product of my cousins unique sense of humor...it turns out that the Sheriff showed up because of a call from a concerned citizen.  The sheriff was making sure that my cousin was okay and not in any danger...you know...when you laugh so hard that your stomach ends up aching...that's the way I started my day.  I've got a feeling the Sheriff really should stop back by to check on Jeff.

Nick....that is one sign that could have gotten Jeff into a lot of trouble IF the wrong Sheriff had shown up. Guess that some humor is best left private.  It is way too funny to me--but then I have been told that I have a weird sense of humor.  Whatever. Fun & thanks for sharing both of these posts.

William-Lisa & Robert-I suppose you're right that it was good that someone called, but still it's funny.

Jackie-I don't think it's too much of a stretch to say that your husband has his hands full.  The Sheriff didn't have quite as good of a sense of humor.

Steve-I'd love to have you here, but take my word for it...there's a reason why most of my cousins family lives in other states.

Randy-just be prepared for a visit from Barney!

Craig-it would be life changing...I also consider you a friend and wouldn't want to encourage anything that would change that!

Peg-I read your post...very funny...lucky the guy didn't get shot!

Barb & Sal-if Jeff wasn't getting into trouble about something I would say he's probably under the weather.
