HOW TO HANDLE HAVING A SHOWING WITH ONLY A FEW MINUTES TO SPARE!
When your home is on the market, you may not always have hours to spare before a showing. Here are a few sneaky tips that will help you get your home showing-ready in just minutes:
- Pick up any dirty laundry. You can always hide laundry in the washer or dryer if you are short in time.
- Keep one cabinet in your kitchen empty at all times so you can quickly toss counter top clutter in and shut the door.
- Grab a laundry basket and fill it with toys, books, magazines, shoes (anything that doesn’t belong in a room). Then toss the whole basket in a closet or garage.
- Use a dry microfiber cloth to run over dusty furniture. They need no cleaning products to work, so you save a step.
- Open the blinds and window coverings. Natural light can make a room look completely different.
- Do a quick vacuum of carpet in heavy traffic areas.
- Keep a container of pre-moistened cleaning wipes in every bathroom. All you have to do is a quick wipe down and throw them away.
- Keep a small roll of trash bags in the bottom of every small trashcan. Then you can just yank out the one with trash in it and place a new one in the can in just seconds. No running to search for new bags.
