This photo was shot at Lake Oolooteca (The Duck Pond) at the Sam Houston Memorial Museum park located on Sam Houston and 19th Street in Huntsville, Texas.

The Sam Houston Memorial Museum Complex is a great place to do photos for any occasion. Last year while I was shooting prom pictures, we saw a photographer doing a wedding. When I took these photos last week, there was another photographer doing some children's photos in front of the azaleas.

The stairs to the homes, old bricks on the fireplaces, and log cabins make interesting backgrounds. Besides great photo opportunities... it's a great place to:

Trails in the Park @ Sam Houston Memorial Park Complex

read a book
have a picnic
study
feed the ducks
take a walk

This is an especially nice place to take the kids. I can't think of a better field trip for those mom's that home school. It is a science and history field trip at it's best!

If you haven't made it to the Sam Houston Memorial Museum Complex, you should put it in your plans, TODAY!
