Beautify your house and garden with these handmade colorful flags. This technique can be used on shirts, bed covers and more. We'll learn the art of batik, with hot wax, paint and dye. The entire process is covered from start to finished product. Includes all supplies. $45

Stained Glass Stepping Stones 3 hrs Instructor: Sara McTavish
We'll learn the method for making mosaic stepping stones using a premade concrete stone. It's easy and fun, and this method is applicable for both tile and glass. Transfer these skills to all types of projects, and learn the various mosaic materials used. Includes supplies. $45

Simple Snowflakes 2 hrs Instructor: Sara McTavish
Snowflakes are simple to make, and beautiful for the holidays! We'll use classic beveled clusters; no glass cutting required. Once you make one, you'll want to make them for all of your friends and relatives. Learn the copperfoil technique, including layout, preparing the pieces, soldering and finish. $45

Make beautiful jewelry with glass nuggets! From earrings to necklaces, you'll learn copperfoil and lead-free solder techniques used with stained glass. Make one-of-a-kind gifts that will be treasured for a lifetime! Incorporate personal photos or wedding invitations into a stained glass photo frame in this two-week class. Color theory, washes and other basics will be covered in this fun class. We'll also go beyond brushes and explore unusual watercolor techniques such as pouring paint, masking, stamping, scraping, and salt application. Artist Trading Cards 3 hrs Instructor: Carol Kovalchuk
Artist Trading Cards have been used since the 14th century. Cards are traded to study each others techniques and explore new art movements. Impressionists often traded the cards with art collectors in exchange for room, board, and art supplies. We'll make our own modern ATCs using various media. Pencils, pens, markers, watercolor, acrylic paints, paper collage, found objects and prints will allow us to explore our personal expression and create some unique works. Supplies included. $35

Lino Printmaking 6 hrs Instructor: Carol Kovalchuk
Lino Printmaking is a subtractive process where you use sharp tools to gouge out of a linoleum plate the areas you do not want to print. This is a very graphic process that lends itself to bold imagery. The class will cover plate preparation and cutting, image generation appropriate for this process, tools and paper choices. We will print on paper and fabric; these make great prints for shirts, cards and more. $120

Beaded Jewelry: Wire Wrap Technique 2 hrs Instructor: Mary Gayle Young
Explore design, color & balance with a wide assortment of beads and semi-precious gemstones. Make your one-of-a-kind earrings and pendants. Complete your design with a basic wire-wrap technique. You will make a pair of earrings, a pendant and a zipper pull in this class. All supplies included; choose from an assortment of beads. $35

Plein Air Pastel Painting 6 hrs Instructor: Carol Kovalchuk
Explore and be inspired by the colors of spring in this Plein Air workshop. We will delve into creative composition, color mixing and simplifying your pieces. You will work at developing your style while enjoying time with other artists. Bring your own pastel set, or we can order one for you (not included). Open to students with a strong drawing and/or pastel background. $65

Basic Bookmaking 2 hrs Instructor: Jacqueline Rickard
We will be making basic journals in this workshop, to give you a fundamental understanding of how books are made - a backbone of knowledge so you can create more of your own. There will be an emphasis on neatness and craft and most of all fun. Making books is a very rewarding experience. They make wonderful gifts, sketchbooks for yourself and journals, photo albums, etc. The only skills required are a love of paper, attention to detail, patience and again - a need to have fun! $35

Oil Painting Two sessions, 4 hours each Instructor: Bob Bissett
Experience the fun and joy of oil painting with the new water mixable oils! This class is designed for beginning oil painters. You'll learn to mix any color using the three primary colors, plus black and white. Learn how to do the 'Daily Warmup' and other tips and techniques. Brushes, canvas panels, paints and palette knife are yours to take home. The entire painting process, from idea to final touch, will be demonstrated.
