There were an average of 300 homes for sale in Barnegat in February, 2011. That up from the January, 2011 Barnegat Homes for Sale Report. The median price of sold homes in Barnegat increased in February over January. That's primarily due to the sale of several condos in January, which brought down the prices reported by the Jersey Shore Multiple Listing Service.

The number of homes sold in Barnegat increased in February, 2011 but the number of homes under contract is down, which means fewer closings in coming months.

Five homes in Barnegat that sold in February were in adult communities most in Barnegat's Four Seasons at Mirage, none were Barnegat waterfront homes.

Interesting report. In Montgomery County, MD, we have a little over 3,000 active listings of homes for sale. 4% of them are lender owned foreclosures and 19% are short sale offerings. The short sale listings distort the market because a high percentage of them will never reach settlement.

Blooming for home buyers this spring.

Laura....you did get up and online early--good for you. The lists show that 2011 saw a slight decrease in median price, but a better showing of fewer day on market & more listings. THOSE are great items.
