Everyday in both my personal life and my business I’m bombarded with offers for tools to increase my business or to change the way I do things.  Although these offers come from well meaning sales people they can take you off course from what your true goals were when you started out in any endeavor.

 



I have been the victim of this many many times J I had the ‘grass is always greener’ mentality and my business really got away from me and I was wondering why I was going thru the ‘yo yo’ effect of having business one month then struggling to close the same amount of deals the next.

 



In all honesty my business is fairly easy.  My mentor Sam gave me the acronym of F.O.C.U.S. (Follow One Course Until Successful) so basically I must prospect daily (no excuses) and make sure that I call people back (you would be surprised how lazy some people in our industry are, and that has included me at times in the past).  And Strategically Aligning with the right people.  Doing these three things while focusing on service will lead you to success.

 



Now I’m not saying to turn your back on an idea that can take your business to the next level, just make sure you FOCUS on the essentials that will constantly keep your business ascending. 

I strongly recommend getting a mastermind group together to bounce new ideas off of and keep you to task in that group.  Make sure they are in all different fields.  There will more than likely be someone who uses an idea you have been entertaining and they can lead you in the right direction for price and utilization.

Good words to keep in mind for any industry. It really is so easy to get pulled away from your main focus -- often without ever even realizing it. Thanks for the reminder!
