Today is William "Captain Kirk" Shatner's 80th Birthday. I was thinking, just the other day in a blog, why he's so popular these days and how he continues to be an cultural icon... Most don't remember him from the old Twilight Zone series but here he is, in his pre-Kirkian days with his feet planted firmly on the ground...(but still getting the girl!)
