Let's just say that today has not been a good day.  Too many surprise fixes on a house that is trying to close this week...unreasonable sellers that won't listen to the market...and of course the gloomy rainy, sleeting day that makes Spring not LOOK LIKE Spring at all!

I am working at the model home today for Skogman Homes and a couple came in with their grown grandson.  I was on the phone when they came in, so I just waved and then caught up with them a few minutes later.  They told me that they had visited over the weekend and wanted to show their grandson as well.  They could not remember the name of the agent that had assisted them, but that is okay.  I am sure that they will find her card and call and let her know that they stopped back in today.  In fact, I introduced myself, but did not give them my information at all.

I chatted with them for a bit, answered some questions, and even offered them a couple of additional floor plan options to meet their needs.  Very nice folks and I am here to help.  Before they left, the husband stayed behind for a moment and shook my hand and told me that he appreciated a smiling, happy face on such a gloomy day.

So no matter what may be going on in your world, remember to smile and be kind to those around you.  Chances are, they could be having a worse day than you and your smile could make their day!

Keep smiling!

Karen

Hi Karen - Always a good reminder. Most people respond with a smile when we smile, so there's a happy loop we can easily bring into being!

@John-A smile costs nothing.  It takes too many muscles to frown anyway...

@Shar-Good luck on your offer!!!

@Kerrie-I agree, it always come through on the phone.  I take a deep breath after I dial and smile when the other person picks up.

@Judy-It is difficult to frown at someone that is nice to you.  I agree that we can all make a difference in someone's day.

@Nancy-Hard to be a sourpuss when someone smiles at you!

@Mahesh-Maybe you should practice what she is doing!  It could do wonders for your business.

@Peg-You are absolutely right about that!  Thank you for reading.

A smile goes a long way towards spreading good cheer.  People usually respond in kind.
