COEUR D’ALENE-POST FALLS IS A HAVEN FOR CHAMPIONS!
One of the great thrills about living in the Coeur d’Alene-Post Falls area plus a real drawing attraction to people looking for a beautiful and pleasurable area to move to is the abundance of exciting very successful high school athletics activities.
There are not very many cities in the United States the size of Coeur-d’Alene (with a 2010 population of 45,000) and Post Falls (with a 2010 population of 28,000) - which are located only five miles apart - that can boast of the many champions as these two.
During the 2009-2019 school year, Coeur d’Alene High School won the Idaho 5A Girls State Basketball Championship and the Idaho 5A Boys State Wrestling Championship, while Post Falls High School won the Idaho 5A Boys State Basketball Championship, and Idaho 5A Girls State Softball Championship.
During the 2010-2011 school year, Coeur d’Alene High School won the Idaho 5A State Football Championship.
During the basketball season, the Post Falls High School boy’s basketball team was the No. 1 ranked 5A team in Idaho, and the top senior boys and girls players from the area handily defeated the top boys and girl’s senior players from Southern Idaho in the 8th annual classic held at North Idaho College.
Quite the accomplishments for the athletic teams here in the Coeur d’Alene-Post Falls area.
