This tract built home in Omaha, Nebraska located near 150th & Maple was built in 2000. I performed the home inspection for the Buyer, who will be the 3rd family to purchase the home. The original owner and current owner apparently never had home inspections and never went in their attic. The Builder's quality control for this house obviously wasn't too good at the time.
What you're looking at is the attic over the Family Room. Notice anything missing? I guess that explains why the Family Room is always so cold!
I wonder how much money in natural gas went up through this ceiling over 11 years? Or how much extra electricity the A/C used to try to keep the house cool?
