I wasn't exactly skeptical, but yeah...I DID have my doubts as to all those folks here on AR who kept tooting their horns about leads they had garnered from blogging. Well, pardon me just a moment...
That's me...tooting my OWN horn! Last month I had a call from a gal who wanted me to come preview her home for a listing. She found me via ActiveRain. Turns out she knows my parents, so I chalked that up to just a coincidence. Then, just yesterday, I had a message from AR; from a woman in my Preble County area who wanted me to come preview HER home for a listing.
When I got there today, I asked her how she found me. "Your blog" was her reply. She told me she read all my stuff and felt like she already knew me before I even got to the house. The meeting with her was great and even FELT much more relaxed and conversational than your typical stuffy listing appointment, maybe because my blog had already given her a glimpse into the type of person I am?
I have recently talked a couple in my office, Carl and Kathi Petelle, into starting a blog and they are giving it a go. Wonderful that I can tell them just how pivotal this is in your real estate career, as it is proving to be in mine!
