Today I had the honor of receiving an email request from my Aunt. It appears her grandson, Jackson, has a special project at school involving Flat Stanley (any memory bells ringing yet)?
My assignment, should I choose to accept it, is to take a photo of Flat Stanley somewhere in Colorado. I was up in Woodland Park showing horse properties yesterday and my customer and I made a stop to do a photo op of Flat Stanley with Pikes Peak in the background.
I don't know if it is too much time alone in the car or what but I have been thinking about what Flat Stanley represented and how he gave kids the opportunity to see the silver lining so to speak in a bad situation after a billboard fell and flattened him. Fast forward to today and I am thinking that Flat Stanley, Real Estate Agent, can be a role model, inspiration and imagination that some can use right about now.
For those of you who don't know, Flat Stanley was first a book in 1964 written by a Dad for his sons. The book was hugely successful and has been used in classrooms for years as it apparently is this week. Flat Stanley has travelled the globe and gives kids the opportunity to learn about geography, cultures, languages and writing.
Just what Flat Stanley can and will do for Real Estate. Stay tuned....
