Hello ActiveRainers, I'd like to introduce you to someone you may not have met yet---Albuquerque Real Estate Chick Regina Rourke.
Regina just relocated to Albuquerque NM from Kansas. When she contacted me last summer to help her buy her New Mexico home I was happy to help her with her Albuquerque MLS search. I quickly set up a client portal and moved on to the next lead. After all, she said she wouldn't be moving here for over a year.
Well imagine my surprise when I got a phone call one day soon after saying that they were indeed coming to town and would like to look at some houses.
I met Regina and her significant other Jim at a local hotel and off we went to check out Albuquerque East Mountain real estate.
Well, we had a lot of fun, hit it off pretty well and soon enough we opened escrow on a house.
(Some of you might remember my fun trip to the Sherwood Forest last summer: Tijeras NM Sherwood Forest or my picturesque stop at a home near Sandia Park in the Albuquerque East Mountains. There were a few other adventures along the way too like a trip to Cerillos New Mexico to take pictures of a luxury listing and an afternoon doing car maintenance on my aging vehicle when I was stranded in Edgewood NM)
Things didn't work out too well on that first house, but now we've got a new one in escrow that we're hoping to close soon. Visit Regina's AR blog to read more.
Somewhere along the way I said something like "Hey, you oughtta go into real estate." The next thing you know she's enrolled at the local real estate school and planning to get her license.
Now she's got the license and is getting ready to start working with me at Albuquerque's RE/MAX Finest.
