February 2011 home sales trends numbers are out for Austin, Texas and Austin had a pretty good month.
There were 1,214 homes sold in Austin in February 2011 as compared with 1,249 sold in February 2010. The average sales price was $241,900 and there was a 5.9 month supply of available inventory for sale in the market.
Year to date - there have been 2,253 homes sold in 2011 versus 2,234 sold during the same time period in 2010. Based on the housing numbers I looked at, Austin had the best February of all the major metropolitan areas in Texas! Hopefully it continues for the remainder of the year.
