Cynthia - It is unbelievable what people will think of in order to steal or scam them so that an sell the information.  Great information - thanks for passing it on.

My goodness! We would hope that people aren't still getting taken in by the scam artists. It's really unfortunate. Thanks for spreading the word about this, Cynthia. Maybe they'll be stopped before the scam reaches Maryland.

I just wish more were not as gullible and would take a more active roll, by saying I will stop by and give you that information where is the nearest location and that should stop the bluffs.

Wow it's hard to believe that people actually fall for this.

OMG! people are pathetic with some of the things they will do and it is sad that people get fooled into these scams. If I ever get an email (frequently) or a call like that I always call the company my account is with and talk to them about it. But if I got a phone call like that I think I'd turn it around on them and start asking them for their personal info!

This is good information to pass on to the consumer.  It is so sad that we live in a society where we have to be on guard at all times.

Hi Candy,
You are right, thieves are very resourceful and work very hard at their "profession".  Thank you for visiting and commenting.

Hello Ilyce,
It is unfortunate but some people do still fall for this type of scam.  Getting the words out is important, I believe.  I really appreciate your visit and comments.

Good morning Susan,
I agree  but some people are very trusting and uneducated about scams (especially older people) and give out this information.  Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

Just recently I was sent an official looking IRS email saying I was owed more of a refund. They asked me for my information through another link. It looked real, but thank goodness I am a little cynical about people wanting to give me money.

Hello Michael,
Yes, I think that would set off an alarm for me too.  Some people are not as cynical or smart.  Thank you for your comments.

Hi Candi,
I know but there are people who do, mostly the elderly and that is who the scammers target.

Hello Rick,
I agree.  Unfortunately there are people who are not as informed and  do give out this personal information and it's usually senior citizens.  They are so trusting.

Hello Jennifer,
So true, so true.  The  scammers are always looking for new ways and new people to get.

I am surprised that people would fall for that.

Good morning Neal,
I agree but as I said earlier it is usually older people who get suckered into these types of scams.  Thank you for visiting and commenting.
