I scratch the top of my head when I duck hook one into the woods off the tee.  I scratch my right ear when I leave a bogie putt four feet short.  I scratch my chin when I have to write down a "5" on a 158 yard par three.  You get the idea.  But I've never had a bad time playing golf, especially with my son, who has actually shot a round at even par.

But this weekend, Orlando is home to the Arnold Palmer Invitational , arguably (in terms of top players in the field) the biggest of the non-major tournaments on the PGA Tour.  It's a great event that we look forward to every year.  The tournament raises a great deal of money for the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children of which my lovely and talented wife is an employee.  She's the Nursing Operations Manager for the Pediatric CVICU and the Pediatric CVOR.  (I know, cool title.  Sort of like "Supreme Commander NATO Allied Forces Europe").   And as such, she was given 4 of the "MacDaddy, go everywhere, eat and drink anything, park for free" tickets.  I can't wait.  My son was going to high tail it out of school today as soon as the final bell rings so he and one of his buddies can go watch.  They hope to catch the back 9 of his favorite player, Dustin, "What? That was a bunker?" Johnson, who just happens to be in a group including Tiger "No, really, I'm not married anymore" Woods.

The Mrs. and I probably won't get out there until Sunday when, hopefully we can follow my favorites Sean "No thanks Dad, I can do this on my own" O'Hair and Bubba "There's no crying, oh I can't help it, in golf" Watson.  Though she isn't an avid golf fan, I'm going to guess my wife will be gazing in the direction of Adam "dreamboat" Scott.  But I betcha I can beat him up.  Should be a great time.  Watch it on NBC this weekend.  Look for me in the crowd.  I'll be the guy eating and drinking everything, and parking wherever I please.

I currently hold the course record at Bay Hill.  I got to 72 faster than any other golfer.  I believe it was on hole #3 when I finally got there.

Cute post and great for localism. Thanks for the call this morning.

BTW...I could be really good at this game if I didn't have to use the little white ball.

Chris:  Beat me.  I can't get on that course.

Margaret:  I hear ya.  I go through way to many little white balls.
