Attn Realtors: Do you read the New listing Flyers you get in Email?

By
Real Estate Agent with Realty World, Executive Group
Hello my fellow bloggers and friends. I don't know about other markets in other States, I only know that in Florida, NEF area we are Bombarded with OverKill on the emails from sooooooo many agents emailing their new Listings to all the agents in the area. I cannot keep my mailbox empty ever. I must get 50+ a day! It seems. To be honest, I don't do it because It annoys me because it is everyday and so many. I just am toooo busy to read them. What do you guys do? Do you get them like we do in Jacksonville, Orange Park area etc...  I have tried to be removed off the list of some of them, but too many to do them all.

Most on here will agree with you...I don't :)  What I have done is to develop a list, not from the entire Realtor community in Las Vegas but from those Realtors who send me their fliers.  They automatically go to my list.  I've got between 1500 and 2000 agents on this list.  I've received telephone calls from several of them saying they appreciate my flyers.  I've not actually sold one this way but it makes my sellers happy to know they are going out to to so many Realtors.  If someone wants to be removed all they have to do is ask...I gladly oblige.

We usually block them as SPAM because our Rapatonni MLS System has a prospect program where we input our clients specifications and new listings are put into a cart for them when they come onto the market and MATCH- so we use the MLS which is more client specific for our needs.

I do not get that many of them but I usually do not read them.  They end up right in the trash folder if they are not a listing that I have any buyers for.

Connie:  Wow!  50+ in a day.  I wouldn't be able to keep up either and that's got to be annoying.  I don't even get 50+ in a week!  I usually do glance at the few that do come through before I delete them.  With MLS, I can find the properties I need but I do understand agents wanting to get their property out in front.

I get a bunch, and I look at a few.  If they don't grab me right away and don't fit a current client, to the junk file they go.

I dont get 50 a day. But it seems like we have a handful. It still bugs me though. I do take a look just because I know that the agents spent their dollars on them....... But I delete it almost as soon as I am done glancing at it.

I don't have time to read them.  If I want to see their property, I will find it on the MLS.  Now if there was a real special incentive to sell the property I might look at it briefly.

I delete every one of them and NEVER look at them.  To me they are spam......I get the listings from the MLS or from our flier service that brings new ones to the office.

I think they are annoying.  Kinda makes us REALTORS our own worst enemy.  The reason for the MLS is so that we do not have to make individual effort to contact every REALTOR one by one.  DUH !!
