Things to do in Middle Georgia: Go Golfing...Fore!
Springtime has definitely arrived in middle Georgia. How do I know? Local golf tournaments are "springing" up to take advantage of the mild temperatures. Whether you are a low handicapper, a duffer, or just like to watch, come on out to the links and enjoy the course.
April 1st - The Houston Lake Country Club in Perry will host the Middle Georgia Technical College Foundation's 6th annual Golf Tournament. The tournament is a shotgun scramble and has over $4,000 in prizes to give out. Contact the coordinator, Alicia Long, at 988-6800, ext 4006 for more details.
April 9th - The Sacred Heart Catholic School's Home and School Association is having their 3rd annual Charity Golf Tournament at the Landings Golf Club in Warner Robins. The cost per player is $65. Kathy Louth at 971-4262 is available to answer your questions.
April 15th - Healy Point Country Club in Macon is the site for the Museum of Aviation Foundation's 6th annual Brigidier General Robert L. Scott Jr. Memorial Golf Scramble. Cost per participant is $150 but includes a cart, commemorative golf shirt, greens fee, lunch, and an evening buffet. Tee times are 8am and 1:30pm.
