It's been a successful couple of days in the life of "The Mortgage Buddy". My business plan at the beginning the year really focused on cultivating new referral partners and business relationships. This is one of the main reasons I'm on active rain. The last couple of days has really been ideal days for business plan implementation.
There was a quote I heard a few months ago that I had to type up and hang next to my desk. "Get comfortable with being uncomfortable". I love that quote. You see I have always done an abundance of refinance loans with a few purchases here and there but I really wanted to do a 180 with my business. Partly because that's the direction I think the market will be going in the next few years and partly because I just wanted to work with agents and have a more hands on impact on a person's purchase of their home.
- I signed on with US HUD and they gave me 4 counties to build my purchase pipeline
- I met with the owner of a real estate brokerage and set up 2 home buyer seminars with his office
- I hosted a broker open house and picked up 3 purchase pre-approvals from talking with various agents
- Set up a seminar for the first week of April with a new office
This type of interaction with referral partners is becoming more and more comfortable. It's like anything it takes practice and it's nice to have agent that I work with recommend my service to other real estate offices. I'm blessed to work with such nice people.
