How to avoid a Hitch in the git-a-long - Hire a professional Phoenix real estate agent
We've all read a lot of posts these past few years about agents being down right rude, nasty and in-communicado. It's sorefreshing to team up with agents that are professional, helpful and understand the value of prompt phone calls and co-operating throughout the transaction.
We just closed on a single family home that was broker/owned by Mary Randall of Fiesta Realty. What a pleasure it was working with Mary! From my very first phone call to the 'after the sale' email she just sent me it was like working with an honest to goodness professional. Wow! Granted - the quality of agents on Active Rain is above the cut of most agents - so this probably just seems normal to most of you!
Not only was she great to work with but she also prepared the home for sale - along with making all the little necessary repairs that a home inspector would call out. The inspection went well with only a few items requested to repair. Mary dealt with the repair requests in a timely manner and went over and above the call of duty to make the home 'right' for my buyer.
Close to the end of escrow we had a little hitch in the git-a-long. The appraiser stated their were barns and stalls for animals plus acreage. Huh? This home was in the middle of town, close to light rail system. We were all perplexed by his view point! LOL. It took several days to clear this up so the lender was happy. Mary - once again - understood it had nothing to do with the buyer holding up the sale and was great about the hitch in the git-a-long. Ok I just had to use horse language - I just had to!
More on horsey stuff in a later post which has to do with Cindy from Indy.
What a great feeling to end up the week on a high note of working with a top notch broker. How about you, do you have some good stories to share? It's time to focus on good agent stories!

I agree, you must have another great professional agent (where close contact is a must), to get the deal done. Love the sign, very cute.
OOops, I just wrote a blog post about one of them. I KNOW you are a professional. And, I can't wait to meet you in person. When are you coming to Minnesota, land of 10,000 lakes and 10,000 feet of SNOW!
Raiza - great agents make all the difference in the world. Thanks:) Had to have some fun on Friday!
Suzanne - gosh I haven't crossed paths with you lately. Hope all is going well for you! Maybe coming up to see family in summer. I'll stop by to see you on my way up to St. Cloud. That would be a blast!
Anna - Isn't it nice when a transaction is filled with responsive, understanding people? I just love it when that happens, and fortunately, it happens fairly often.
How nice to give a shout out to another agent in your Phoenix real estate market who was a true professional to work with.
What a difference it does make working with an agent who is cooperative, communicative and pleasant all around. I posted such a story in January. Happy to hear yours, Anna.
I often tell my clients that the hardest part of my job is making sure everyone else does theirs. Sounds like you co-broke with a great agent who did their job and let you do yours. Congratulations on ending the week on a high note!
Norma - I'm glad it's this way for you normally. It almost always used to be for me for years. It's just so refreshing once again!
Chris Ann - she is a broker/owner as well and a fine lady!
Teral - it is! Thanks!!
Craig - that is so very true, especially these days. She was a gem to work with. Thanks! Now it's almost time to call it guits for the work day!!
Anna. Where in the world did you find that sign? That is a hoot!
What a great idea for future posts. I am working with a doll of an agent now and I will certainly sing her praises once we get to the closing table. Thanks for the tip.
