Real Estate has been my passion ever since the tables were turned and I was the "First Time Home Buyer." I had just received my Associates in Business and my plan was to transfer over my credits to the university but once I discovered I was pregnant my immediate plans changed. Like many young couples I thought it would be best to find a place my boyfriend and I could call our own.
So there I was a first time home buyer looking at homes with a Realtor a friend introduced me too. Being a first time home buyer the experience was scary, nerve-racking, and stressful. Looking back as a first time home buyer, I realize the reason I felt this way was because no one explained to me the process. As a first time home buyer I felt I was thrown into things not knowing what the steps were to buying. "If only my Realtor would have explained them to me," I asked myself. These words my agent used were so foreign to me and to make my first time home buying experience even more awkward, I was shown 3 maybe 4 house's and asked by my Realtor to write up an offer on one of them. "Talk about rushed", I told myself. I knew that I could find a better home maybe even a better deal if given more time. But my agent made it seem like there wasn't any more time and that a decision had to be made quickly.
To make a long story short, I never did buy a home at that point in my life. The experience only drove me away and I began to look by myself. That is when I felt I could be one amazing Realtor. Shortly after, God put Robin Muller-Davis, a Broker of a small real estate company in Waddell AZ in my path. She encouraged me to go back to school for a Real Estate license of my own. I can't believe that was 8 years ago and thankfully I was properly trained from the beginning which gave me the fundamentals needed to be a successful experience Realtor.
