Denver relocation clients often ask me about school boundaries when searching for a home in the Denver suburbs. School boundaries can be a very important qualifier for the search location for a variety of reasons. While Colorado is an open enrollment state, the opportunity to enroll children at any public school only exists if there is room. Some schools are at or near capacity, and living within the school's geographic boundaries can sometimes be the only or best way to be certain of enrollment. Additionally, if you do not live within the school boundaries, school bus will not be a transportation option for you.
Acres Green Elementary is a K - 6 school in Highlands Ranch and part of the Douglas County School District. Acres Green's calendar schedule is on the Modified calendar - which is very similar to the conventional/traditional schedule.
Acres Green Elementary is located in Lone Tree in the Acres Green neighborhood. The boundaries include homes in Lone Tree neighborhoods such as Acres Green, Carriage Club, parts of Fairways, Masters Park, Lincoln Square Lofts Heritage Hills , and Enclave, and Highlands Ranch's Palomino Park, and Chestnut Hill neighborhoods. Kids that have Acres Green Elementary as their home school feed to Cresthill Middle School and Highlands Ranch High School.
