(Not At All) Wordless Wednesday....Not Just For Square Bales Anymore!

As a REALTOR® In the Bristol Tn Va Area I try and capture as many as these fading images as I possible can. To me they are Real Estate that took a lot of patients, skill and time to build at some point in time.
I guarantee you this BARN has held it's share of the square bales but in the future it will likely only see the big round bales that occupy it's interior now!

Carol.....newer technology.....it used to take at least 2-3 people to bale hay.....small square balers (they weren't really square).....now one person can pretty much do it all! Thanks!

Good morning, Rob. Nice picture of the barn. The only setback to the round bales is that it takes a tractor to move them. One round bale is the equivalent of 30 square bales...

Rob, that there sure is a mighty fine looking barn! I have a Bull on my ranch back home, that actually head butted a round bale and pick it up with his horns and threw it 25 feet into the pond near where I had him corralled.

I spent a few weeks every summer in the wagon attached to the square hay baler at one of my uncle's farms. I quickly learned it is a dirty job AND hay flying out of the baler is sharp and hurts :-)
