As I met with the nice, retired couple in their living room to review the listing documents, it was hard not to get lost in the view of Brown Pelicans in flight, out of the large bay windows.  The view of Mobiley Bay from this vantage point seemed endless, as I tried to focus on the eastern shoreline of Baldwin County, that I knew lay somewhere out in the distance.  The sellers had their large window panes drawn back to the allow the cool spring breeze to enter the home, which fluttered the pages of the listing agreement in my hands and made it ever more difficult to retain my concentration on the task at hand.

As I began to photograph each room, I noticed several updates that the sellers had done over the years to this simple 1950's home.  The wood laminate floor under my feet was a nice compliment to the rich red paint on the walls and the tasteful decor in the spacious living room.  As I made my way to the master, I found myself looking out over the water from another wall of windows, yet again. This was what people needed to realize about this house, that the view and the land would ultimately command a competitive list price, despite the work needed to bring the home up to modern standards.  

The lot is a prime piece of real estate in Coden, Alabama and expands to just over an acre of land, from the shallow Mobile Bay shoreline.  There is approximately 100 feet of water frontage and 453 feet west to Dauphin Island Parkway.  There is a local restaurant in walking distance and shopping and banking are a short distance by car.  This home would make and excellent retreat away from daily life in the City of Mobile or an ideal spot for a bay front dream home.

Jason, what a wonderful description of what I am sure is a beautiful family home. I personally have never been to any coast, but I could feel the breeze as I was imagining the home tour. The seller and buyers are lucky to have you as their agent!
