Monday Orchids

This is another group of orchid photographs taken at the Maryland Orchid Society Show which was part of the Maryland Home and Garden Show at the Timonium Fairgrounds. March is a big month for local and regional orchid shows as growers select their plants for the season. Spring is coming and many are anxious to grow more flowers.

Real estate professionals are also very busy this spring season as home buyers take advantage of the very attractive home prices and the very low interest rates.  In Maryland, qualified first time home buyers have available grants to $7,500 to assist with the cash requirements of a home purchase.

Be sure to have your camera in hand this week to capture the changing colors of the season.  Please share your pictures in the comments for my posts.

Hi Roy,

Another set of Stunning Orchids!  There really are so many beautiful color Orchids.  You should start a Flower Group here on AR, a place where everyone can share their photos of Flowers.  They have every other group about Birds, Animals, etc... but no Flower groups.  Your photos of the Flowers inspire all of us and we all look forward to viewing them each and everyday!  Thanks Roy!!!

BTW...  Congratulations on reaching 700K.  That is huge.... and takes a lot of work and dedication!!!

Roy--it's my first time at your Orchid Stop. Just joined this blogger's group. Gotta say that I've ALWAYS loved orchids, but they haven't loved me. It used to upset me that friends would say, but they're so easy to grow--and I would think to myself, what the heck am I doing so WRONG??

Well, a dear friend left for a month to go enjoy AZ (and see Ole Sol, which I didn't for the last several months it seems) and she wanted me to enjoy her orchid.  It now has four blooms, she's back and I will reluctantly return it.  I am thrilled that it did well in my foster care and I may have just turned the corner on my relationship with orchids--woohoo!!!
