If you decide to relocate from the house you own, are you cheating on your home? There may be many reasons why a person or family moves away from their home: financial, emotional, physical, employment or another reason.
In my opinion, you are only cheating if you neglect your home and not check the status when you have it rented. If you cannot check on it, hire a property management company to follow up with your tenants, handle emergency phone calls, rents, etc.
Where were you at 2:00 a.m. last night? Snaking out a toilet at my rental in Chantilly. Hire someone to take those 1:00 a.m. phone calls for you.
