The better way, by far, to shop for a home is to locate a Buyer's agent to educate you in the marketplace.  You'll have much better odds of making a great buy.  After all, the time to think about selling your home is when you purchase your home.  Having your own buyer's agent makes a good buying decsion much more likely to occur!

Driving Around, Calling from Real Estate Signs?  If You Are Serious About Buying a Home, It Is Time To Get a Buyers' Agent in Your Corner.

What a week it's been!  Spring has definitely descended on the Northern Virginia real estate market.  Buyers are out and about looking for a place to call home.  My cell phone has been ringing off the hook with Buyers who have called from real estate signs they saw in front of homes that they saw while driving through neighborhoods that seem to fit the bill. These Buyers want to get in to see properties as quickly as they can.  You can hear the excitement in their voices.  But when the news comes across that the home they are calling on is under contract, but you can help them find another one, the conversation comes to an abrupt halt.

"We don't want an agent.  We were just wanting to see the home.  We thought we might like to make an offer."

These would-be Buyers seem to wander aimlessly from under contract listing to under contract listing not understanding why they are always late to the party.  That's because Buyers represented by Buyers' Agents get the news about just listed properties sooner than the evening and weekend warriors that like to do their home shopping from the curb.  Buyers under contract decided that their weekends and evenings off from work were far too precious to waste driving around coveted neighborhoods and calling a dozen real estate agents a day.

Life is so much easier when you've hired ONE AGENT to work on YOUR behalf.  Tell your agent what you're looking for, how much you want to spend, and let THEM do the hard work in the home search.  When the weekends and evenings that you have free roll around, they'll have a property tour lined up.  You'll actually be able to see INSIDE homes.

Stop looking for real estate signs and find a Buyers' Agent to help you in your house hunt.  It's the quickest way to find your way HOME.
