Not in Latin America, however, I can say that buying cashflowing property will give one payback on their funds invested faster than a franchise. How many hamburgers does one have to sell to pay for a McDonald's Franchise? : )

Cindy, I hate to tell you, but you are absolutely wrong. It is in Latin America. Now the question is where in Latin America?

I agree that purchasing properties can be a great return on investment. Unfortunately many people lose money on any investment -- I see way too many "opportunities" that really don't work out that well for most people.

And right now some of the very best cash flows in the world ,according to many business sources, are in Latin America.

Hi Gary,

hmmm I did a Google search and Vinita Oklahoma was mentioned.. with one that spans over the turnpike and Orlando was mentioned but I didn't see one in Latin America.. must be a new designation.

Don, This franchise holder directly owns 1293 McDonald's restaurants and oversees another 463 in Latin America. Hong Kong would have been a great guess though.

Judi, I think I would rather visit one in Oklahoma than Latin America because I could stop and say hello.

The world's largest McDonald's franchise is based in Buenos Aires, Argentina with sites in Argentina, Chile, Columbia, Mexico, Peru and Venezuela along with locations in the Caribbean.

The company just made financial news by filing for an initial public offering of as much as $1.08 Billion. Some of the funds will be used to open even more restaurants along with remodeling older ones.

The company reported sales last year of approximately $300,000 Million and its name is Arcos Dorados.

And it may surprise you to learn that there are over 100 companies in Latin America that are even larger -- so much for the image of sleepy southern neighbors. Latin America is truly an awakening giant and we should start looking for the many opportunities it provides.

I don't what to offend McDonald lovers, but I cannot understand the desire for fast food in Argentina, a country where you have so many mouth-watering local dishes to choose from. I'm lucky to live in Washington DC area where I can enjoy wonderful cuisines of Peru, Argentina, Chile, and other Latin American countries. Viva Latin America!

Elizabeth, You are absolutely correct - but it is amazing how many Gringos that I have seen race to McDonalds or the Hardrock cafes in other countries. And you usually find me in some out of the way place or at a stand along the street. I have found some great cafes in DC.
