Brooker Creek Preserve is the largest natural preserve in Pinellas County, being over 8,500 acres! It borders Pasco and Hillsborough Counties and is NOT a park, but an actual natural wilderness area protected and managed by the Pinellas County Department of Environmental Management.

Brooker Creek is the only creek that runs into Lake Tarpon and supplies the lake with water which runs through Brooker Creek's swamps and wetlands before entering Lake Tarpon.

The preserve is approximately 7 miles long and about a mile wide - it is surrounded by a rapidly growing urban community and is a place where nature can still be enjoyed in it's natural state!
