Canton MA is Going To the Birds
On Saturday April 2nd, Canton's Visual Arts Center is holding its annual gala to benefit its childrens programs. "For the Birds" will be held on Saturday, April 2nd, at the Reebok World Headquarters in Canton MA from 7 pm to 11 pm. Tickets are $50.00 per person. The event will feature food, drink, jazz & latin music & silent auctions. As a special treat, Canton's own Blue Hills Brewery will be providing a beer tasting station, along with the beer selections for the evening. Other liquid refreshments will also be available.
The Visual Arts Center is a Massachusetts Audubon Sanctuary located right here in Canton MA. Massachusetts Audubon is the largest conservation organization in Massachusetts. The Visual Arts Center is a 138-acre wildlife sanctuary that houses a professional art museum that connects people to nature through art. The exhibits in the museum change throughout the year. In addition, the Visual Arts Center offers art and nature programs to adults, families and children, as well as school and community groups. In addition to the gallery, visitors can enjoy hiking on the trail system that takes them through a meadow, a forest and a red maple swamp. Birding enthusiasts can come and view and photograph birds through the bird photography blind.
The For the Birds Gala will help benefit the many childrens programs offered throughout the year by the Visual Arts Center. Some of the items up for auction at the gala are original art pieces donated by the various artists whose work appears in the gallery.
