Grandchildren & Ducks - Farms Land Southeast Oklahoma Idabel Valliant - An easy mix!
Our grandchildren that live on the farm do not know how lucky they really are. These children live in on the land that's been in the family for 67 years.
They have open land all around them, room to play and grow up. Talk about an education!
They do attend really great schools in Idabel, Oklahoma 74745 and Holly Creek School (I taught at Holly Creek School during the "teaching" time of my life) but that's not the education that I'm talking about. Where they live, the country life that they were born into affords them a way of life that is very special.
They know where milk really comes from and it's not the grocery store. Yes, we do purchase milk down at our local Braum's Store or Wal-Mart...we do not milk the cows.. we have a beef cow herd BUT if they watch the baby calves get their milk!
This past week our granddaughter, Chaz, decided that she wanted a duck...then it was two ducks. Baby ducks. And she was willing to work for her pappaw if he would buy her two baby ducks. He did. She did. We bought them at our local Tractor Supply store.
SO I now have two baby ducks in an 18 gallon tote in my sunroom. Their swimming pool is a cast iron skillet :). Chaz loves to come over after school and love on her ducks... She cleans their tote, feeds them, and takes them for a walk. They are so cute.
AND almost big enough now to go outside if the weather will stay warm.
Oh yes, the new baby ducks on the farm here in Idabel Oklahoma are named Waddlesworth and Doodles.
Are you living in town and have always dreamed of living in the country? Did you grow up rurally and would love to get back to it before your kids grow up... give them a taste of country life?
Southeast Oklahoma, in particular the extreme southeast corner of Oklahoma is the best place, we believe, to do that. Idabel, Haworth, Valliant, Millerton, Garvin, Swink, Fort Towson, Raymond Gary Lake, Sawyer, and Hugo..
I like to call it God's green country. People living and loving the country way of life with gardens, cattle, horses, chickens, sheep, goats, and YES DUCKS!
Call me and let's talk about YOU moving to McCurtain County or Choctaw County Oklahoma so your children or grandchildren can have baby ducks!
