When the goldfinches return to Lake Ridge and leaves break out

Everyone has different ideas about the ideal place to live - that's what makes the world go around. In the case of Arthur and I we enjoy living in a subdivision with 1,200 acres of heavily wooded common area where we live among many of God's other creatures. By the same token Lake Ridge has a population of 38,000 people and all the amenities of a small city. To us it is the best of all worlds in a congested metropilitan area. Actually, we think of it more as an oasis.

Nice bird shot! I had a robin lined up to photo yesterday but didn't have my telephoto lens and I got a midget bird shot. This photo has convinced me to pack the telephoto while wondering around.
