Happy Thanksgiving TurkeyHappy Thanksgiving to all.

It's the eve of Thanksgiving and a time to reflect on all the good things that have happened to us throughout the year.

It's a time to give to people who do not have the good fortune that we have, be it financial, family, friends or fortitude.

I have to say that I have really enjoyed blogging and commenting here on Active Rain.

I have met new people, made friends with some, acquainted with others.

Some have inspired me and some have taught me. I have disagreed with some and championed others.

All in all, it has been a very good year here at Active Rain and I am thankful to Matt, Caleb, Ben and James for having the idea and forsight to devleop this site and let us all use it for free!  I know it hasn't been a year yet and is still in the beta phase, but it's obvious to me that Active Rain will surpass all the other typical blogging sites, if only for the fact that it seems to have attracted a great many like minded people.

When things get bad, someone will blog about it and everyone will get in line. When things get dull, someone will blog about it and bring us all back.

I actually had a different blog for today but will send it out over the weekend. I wanted to take this time to "Give Thanks."

Hi Karen... and all... Happy Thanksgiving!

Sorry to 'bust in' with a little FYI but since I saw that TLW was trying so hard to get those darn turkeys to dance, I thought I'd let you all know my take on this 'phenomenon'... I just hope I don't put any of ya'll to sleep.

My understanding is that animated images are .gif images and, unfortunately, when you upload them to AR they are converted to .jpeg which removes the animated aspect.  The only way to keep them animated on AR is to host those images on another site that allows .gif images and then include the URL where it's located rather than uploading the image to AR.  I hope I didn't make anyone's eyes glaze over!  I know whenever I mention 'algorithm' Carole's eyes do that!  LOL!  :-)

Happy Thanksgiving Leanne!  And of course my eyes glazed over, just like a good ham lolol.  I still don't understand it, but of course you do because it's dancing! TLW will be happy that one is dancing lol.

Ines, leg of lamb sounds wonderful....I just got up and splashed and had a great time looking at all my favorites here: turkeys!  I don't have to cook for some time yet.....and boy you guys get up early. Happy TG Maureen, Ray, Marti!

Someone had a turkey quiz on a post....did you know that turkeys can run 55 mph! Ok it's too early in the day for knowledge.....later!
