LET IT RAIN t-shirt ... talk about ill timing!

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner CalBRE# 01433049

Yesterday I needed to run to Costco for some batteries, a soda and a dog before doing my agent visual for a house I'm selling. For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, we (California agents) have to go completely around and through a house and state everything we observe. Stains on carpet, cracked tile, missing downspout ... you get the idea.

I dress down for these inspections because it's easy to get dirty. What to wear ... what to wear. Oh, I know, I haven't worn my new "let it rain" t-shirt yet!

So I'm in the check-out line in Costco and the cashier looks at me and says ... let it rain? SERIOUS? ARE YOU KIDDING? LET IT RAIN? By now, the entire line at the check-out stand is staring at me, trying to figure out what the cashier is talking about.

"Heh heh ... I guess my timing is a little off". That was all I could manage to say.

It has been doing nothing but rain here in Northern California, non-stop, the entire Month of March. Rain makes us cranky. Really cranky. Yesterday was gorgeous, the sun was out, everyone was happier by it and I go out with a "let it rain" t-shirt on. Oops.

After getting washed, that shirt might have to stay in the closet until the next drought. Sheesh! :(

We've had rain here in Oregon for 24 straight days now. I wouldn't have thought twice about wearing the shirt, since I know what it really means. I'll be sure not to any time soon!

I think I might be run out of town if I wore that up here . . . we just had 25 days of the stuff.  FINALLY the ground is dry.  Did you tell her what it was all about??  :-)

Haha... so cute! I'd like to see an "I make it rain." T-shirt. then no matter what the weather is, the message would get out.

Cynthia,

Very funny situation!  Now I'm determined to get a "Let it Rain" shirt at RainCamp AC on Monday, even if I have to steal it off Bob's back.

We Californians love our sunshine and can get downright cantankerous when denied our daily dose--but we also love a cool t-shirt.

As a native Seattlite, I completely understand the comments on your shirt!  Our rainfall for the month of March is record settings - while our daffodils have bloomed and trees are leafing out.  Welcome Spring!  Stay dry...

Cynthia, If I had one Id wear it for the next couple of days, as we are expecting another N'oreaster' that can bring as much as 12" of snow to some areas of the state. I'd gladly take that in rain.

Christine - I saw Todd's post about his t-shirt experience!

Kate - contact Bob, he'll make it happen. And yes, I will be paying attention to the weather the next time I wear that shirt!

Gretchen - you know what we have had then ... rain, rain, rain.

Carla - no I didn't, I didn't know what she was talking about because I forgot I was wearing the shirt and I became tongue tied. Me of all people.

Traci - spoken like a true rainmaker!

Barbara - yes, it all stems from a lawsuit of course! At least we don't have to crawl under houses or climb into attics.

Margie - all I know is how I got mine. I attended the party AR had on twitter when they reached the milestone of 200,000 members. "The first 5 members who can tell us when they joined AR gets a t-shirt" ... or something like that. I joined 1/31/2010.

Irene - you go, girl!

Norma - LOL, so true!

Lisa - I lived in Seattle for almost 4 years ... I couldn't take it and moved to California.

Mike - they didn't give you one at raincamp?

Kelli - that's what I'm afraid of!

Ed - ooooh, we wouldn't know what to do if it snowed here! Be safe!

Cynthia, next time someone comments on it, just tell them to stop looking at your chest. That might shut them up. Then hand them your business card.

Hey Cynthia,

I live in Austin Texas. We'll take the rain. Summer season is coming and the lakes are receding!

Funny post!

We just broke a record for most rainy days in a row during March up here in Portland. I'm not sure I'm down for any more rain... unless it's raining something other than water!!
