I agree with Michael on the B&W. It's perfect for this photograph. I can only imagine all the stories that have been told about this hidden place. It almost looks like it's been scorned and hidden for a reason. But the brush and branches don't lie. Something happened... and yet it still exists.

You should submit this photo to Stephen King.

Great photos!  The one of the sign is really interesting.  So you live in a town that borders both States.  Does that mean you have to be duel licensed to do business?

Rob, I love the black and white images, and this is a great photo of the forgotten past.  I have seen the Bristol sign many times while visiting my brother and trying new restaurants in the area.

We have a lot of abandoned barns here in middle tennessee, but the small farmers have been put out of business by the economy and the tax laws. It's almost impossible to pass the family farm to the next generation.

Rob, sure don't know how I missed this mighty fine looking photo of yours. Just like you, I sure do enjoy getting out and finding spots as this. Homes as this one, sure do hold a whole lot of stories they sure could tell folks!

Do you ever get to walk all the way around the outside area of the ole homes you come along like this one?

Have a good one
