5 Comments on Websites: If You Build It Will They Come?
" The Coldwell Banker's, Prudential's, Century 21's and GMAC's of the world spend millions of dollars a year on developing and maintaining their websites and it is a waste of an agent's dollar to attempt to recreate sites like these. That doesn't mean that an agent should not have a presence on the web, which is where these microsites come into play. The microsites provide content that their company can't or won't provide."
You post this on a RE/MAX bloggers group and your article doesn't even mention RE/MAX in it? These guys have been playing catch-up to us for years in terms of technology and innovation.
Too bad there isn't a negative 5 button for me to press!
Hi Jessica: I apologize. Although RE/MAX is mentioned several times throughout the book this was just one section that it wasn’t. I also left out many many others such as Sotheby’s, ERA, Exit Realty, Realty USA, etc The reality is that all of the majors out there have invested large amounts of money into their technology and some have better features then others.
I hope you didn’t get sidetracked by this in the article and that the other points didn’t lose their luster as a result.
Matthew I have a free RE/MAX website provided by the RE/MAX firm I am associated with, but have nevere seen anything positive. However, I have my own website that is regularly in the Top 10 so I must disagree with you, Karen
