Sometimes it is just plain inconvenient to have to return to my office with my clients to print out offers, sellers disclosures, and other documents.  Enter the world of portable printers.  While I have been seen carrying my doorstop HP Laserjet 5 printer (38 pounds) into a client's home in the past, I now use an HP Photosmart C3180 All in One. 

The C3180 is much lighter in weight, fast, the paper tray folds up, I can scan as well as make black and white and color print outs, and it only set me back $89.  Sure there are close to $400 lighter weight and battery operated, truly portable printers out there but with a $20 car adapter I can plug it in and get prints anywhere my car goes.

Once offers are signed, they can be scanned back in as PDF and then emailed to the listing agent.

Great information here. 

You also need to drop in a broadband card for your laptop, something I just purchased....amazing and very fast.

I would go with a regular printer, and use one of the scansoft.com portable USB scanners or one of the new pen type scanners..

HP Photosmart A710 Printer series are truly portable and will operate on battery or ac.  Price is $250.  With the HP bt450 it becomes a Bluetooth Wireless Printer.

I like your idea on printing!! If you are interested in the more portable the HP460wf only weighs 4.6 lbs----I'm talking myself into buying one---but I still may try your way and hang onto my extra money. Sandra
