Amazing salt flats there Vegas Bob and it does look like snow you are right. I love your travel log.
Hello Gary and every so often I come across AR members that are launch a post at the same time I do, and then roll over to each others to comment.
And today Gary you and VB are those two, amazing and we do live in a small World when it comes to the Internet ...
VB ;o)
98 degrees? Say it isn't so. I took a picture yesterday for wordless Wednesday of my weeping cherry tree covered in fresh snow. Altogether, we got about 3 inches but happily it is melting rapidly:)
VB - It seems that the snow is never going to disappear in those northern regions.
Hello Barb and yes when I shot this video it was around 98 degrees and reached around 101.
And Michelle that what I have been hearing and next year will be worse because many planets in our galaxy will be lining up with in turn will create bad weather all over the world ... ;o(

Bob, Great Video! I thoughta that white stuff was salt from the outset! It is really unusual to have it snow in Death Valley I have heard. Have a great day!
Hello Tony & Darcy and it is salt, it was 98 degrees and I really don't think it could snow with these hot temps!
VB ;o)
VB thanks! tomorrow is April ! and we are expecting snow again and that's no April-fools joke.
VB - you tricked me - I really thought this was snow. That is a lot of salt. Is any life present on this vast stretch of salt? Great video! Have a good night.
VB,
You sure fooled me! I thought it was snow from the beginning and I never would have guessed it be salt. I was quite surprised when you revealed the truth! Do you know if that type of salt is the same salt that melts the snow?
Patricia

Hi Vegas Bob - We had some snow that fell last night, about an inch or so, but it all melted during the day.
Went to the Death Valley wildflower site....... thanks for the FYI, and we too had 100 temps. today. So early, for such HOT weather! Are you a pilot and fly to your many destinations, or you just love to drive?????
Howdy and morning to you Vegas Bob
VB, Thank you mighty kindly for the thought, blog post and video!!! the weatherman here is calling for us to get up to 18" of snow fall between this morning and Saturday.

I do feel sorry for everyone getting all this snow on the East Coast and Midwest and I have heard it's going to worse next year!
Vegas Bob ;o)
Thank you for that! As soon as you said 98 degrees I was okay with winter! LOL
Hello Debra and this is a dry heat with no humidity, not bad at all!
