Blogging for business is why most of the Active Rain members are here, but the side benefits are perhaps even more powerful. To be honest, I did not feel the need to begin blogging when my son suggested it four years ago. I was too busy selling real estate to write stories about it on the Internet. I had lots of questions such as who would find my posts and how on earth would that help my business? 
I have a closet full of tapes and books purchased to ignite my real estate career, and I've paid thousands of dollars to attend seminars from Buffini to Ferry to Ziglar. They were good, but Active Rain blends marketing, education and a referral system second to none. It is defeating to be on the wrong side of an industry revolution. I'm pleased to be lined up with a platform and a group of agents on the cutting edge.
Tough times either take you down or make you stronger. Four years later the fair weather agents are gone, but those still standing are determined to fight the good fight and work through the difficult times. These are the true professionals. Active Rain is filled with an army of such agents.
