In the past I have had many posts about carbon monoxide. Most recently I posted some advice on where to place carbon monoxide detectors in your home. You can read that post here.
This could also be called the invisible killer. Dihydrogen monoxide is colorless, odorless, tasteless and kills countless people every year. Most of these deaths are caused by accidental inhalation of DHMO, but the dangers of dihydrogen monoxide do not end there. Prolonged exposure to it in its solid form can cause severe tissue damage. Symptoms of DHMO ingestion can include excessive sweating and urination, and possibly a bloated feeling, nausea, vomiting and body electrolyte imbalance. For those who have become dependent, DHMO withdrawal means certain death. 100% of people who have drunk DHMO have eventually died.
Dihydrogen monoxide:
- is also known as hydroxilic acid and μ-oxido dihydrogen, is a major component of acid rain
- contributes to the "greenhouse effect."
- it may be saturating the air you are breathing this very minute
- can cause severe burns
- contributes to the natural erosion of topsoil and the natural landscape
- accelerates corrosion and rusting of many metals
- may cause electrical failures and decreased effectiveness of automobile brakes
- has been found in excised tumors of terminal cancer patients
Its worldwide contamination may be reaching epidemic proportions! Quantities of it can be found in every stream, lake and reservoir in America today. But this pollution is global. DHMO has even been found deep in the ice of the Arctic, Antarctica and Greenland. It has caused billions of dollars of damage in this country.
On the positive side, dihydrogen monoxide is often used:
- as an industrial solvent and coolant
- in nuclear power plants
- in the production of styrofoam
- as a fire retardant
- in many forms of scientific research
- in the distribution of pesticides. (However, even after washing, produce remains contaminated by this chemical.)
- as an additive in certain "junk foods" and other food products
Companies large and small dump DHMO into rivers and the ocean and nothing can be done about it because it is STILL LEGAL!
Dihydrogen monoxide molecules can conceivably collect by the septillions of gallons and when in this form are very difficult to separate!
The impact on wildlife is extreme. It should not be ignored anymore!
The American government has refused to ban the production, distribution or use of this damaging chemical due to its so called "importance to the economic health of this nation."
In fact, the Navy and other military organizations are conducting experiments with DHMO, and designing multi-billion dollar devices to control and utilize it during warfare situations. Hundreds of military research facilities receive tons of it through a highly sophisticated, and hidden from our view, underground distribution network. Many store large quantities for later use!
It is not too late to ACT NOW to prevent further contamination! If for no other reason, than we must act for the children who will inherit a world FULL of this stuff.
Find out more about this dangerous chemical! What you don't know can hurt you and others throughout the world.

Virtually every home or house maintenance problem relates to the admittance (failure of controls) of this substance. It's very central to almost every issue of property damage and devaluation.
It is amazingly pervasive, Robert, and I am happy to bring it to float a little information out there.
You got me good, Jay... I even re-blogged this before I dug a little deeper ;-)
I know, it pails in comparison.
Jay...WOW--horror and information all in one post; now that I am informed, AM I informed or duped?
Have a great weekend.
Barb
I have had numerous issues with DHMO here. It's caused damage to my home a time or two as well! I try to drink as little as I can of it, but you're right, I can't go long without craving it. I'm doomed!! Our house even has special piping to try to get the stuff to go to the right places and not inside our home, but even that doesn't always work! Good for you for recognizing the danger and informing others! :) As a parent, I've even been told that an inch of standing DHMO can kill a child! :O
Chris - happy April 1!
Robert - a pail used to bail DHMO?
Barb - I hope informed! That it is April 1...
Sheree - sorry you get the craves! I do too! Not only am I glad you are now informed, but to hear that you are a good parent.
Jay,
This is interesting, and I'm glad that it is not a major household contaminant.
Brian
It can be if it sits too long Brian. So beware!
Jay,
did I miss this ... the addictive qualities are beyond belief. Reading all of this made my mouth dry. VERY TIMELY POST. As with other dangerous molecules, there must be a detector for this, but have seen VERY few. Thanks for this post. Much appreciated.
:-)
It is very addicting Brad. I am sorry to be the bearer of such serious information, but I thought the importance warranted my floating this boatload of info. It's a virtual river of instruction and a reservoir of reference material. This post is probably just a mere drop in an ocean of what is out there to learn of this stuff however.
Scary stuff, Jay. I've been reporting on problems caused by dihydrogen monoxide for years.
Jay,
That was an interesting read.
Believe or not Reubs, I have found problems with DHMO with my thermal camera. I know, it's hard to believe.
Steve - even though it was April 1 I thought it important to get that info out.
Jay, the inability to keep DHMO properly only on the outside of houses is what keeps us in business.
The Army treats this stuff as an acid, and keeps it in plastic containers. I accidentally spilled some on the floor one time, but it cleaned up easily with a dry towel.
Great post! :)
Jay,
I've seen this before but not organized the way you did it. Excellent. Can't live without the stuff. :)
Steve
Jeremy - funny, I have had a few spills myself!
Steve - my daughter gave me a small version her science teacher gave to them as an April Fool's joke. I cleaned it up a bit...
Jay,
Congratulations. This clever post is featured on "The Law Of The Land." :)
Steve
Thank you Steve! Wait til you see the one today!
hi jays daughter here, yeah my teacher gave the whole class this and we all fell for it :) :D
