Oakland Co. - Novi:
In an article by Joseph Szczesny in Wed. March 30 2011  / www.macombdaily.com  1 C :
we discover that Novi-based Cooper Standard Automotive Inc. has brokered a deal to acquire  USi Inc.
from Ikuyo Co. Inc-Japan.

This development will allow Cooper Standard to apply USi's hard-coating technology to products & also allow CS to expand their product line offerings.
USi is based in Rockford, Tenn and has the auto & industrial applications on assemblies on vehicles made by;
   Ford Motor Co; General Motors Co; Honda Motor Co; Hyundai Motor Co; Nissan Motor Co. & Toyota Motors Corp.
  who will see this technology in 'bright trim" assemblies on their vehicles
  USi's portfolio incorporates Japanese, North American & European technologies, which will allow CS to offer global customers a
  full range of 'bright trim sealing assemblies'
The CS Co intends to spread the USi technology to its European businesses.  It employs about 19,000 people globally and is in
18 countries around the globe.

Mt Clemens School district presents:
In a partnership with Michigan State University & Macomb Community College, Mt Clemens High School has unveiled a new medical bioscience academy.  Classes include anatomy, microbiology,chemistry, physiology & forensic science and can result in certification as nursing assistants. they then can attend more classes in college or find a job in a nursing home, assisted living  facility or a senior care hospital.  

 
 Last, but NOT least:
Selfridge ANGB has sent the 127th Air Refueling Wing to Lybia to help enforce the no-fly zone.  These brave & proud Military persons are conducting mid-air refueling operations for the U.S. fighter aircraft in the area.
Personnel are from the states of: Alaska, Arizona,.Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Nebraska, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania Tennessee & Utah are involved in these refueling missions.
