It's April 1st, If You're Italian, Time To Harvest The Spaghetti

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty 0575737

Being the start of the second quarter for most businesses, I noted the calendar rolling over to the date of April 1st. For many in northern climes this means the melting of snow soon.

Disappearing Snow

ALSO, if you love Italian food (or Italians)...... it is that time of year to harvest the spaghetti for the dinner table. Gotta love those Italians.... they bring us MUCH passion and great food to our lives!! See how they do it.....

Bon Appetit.....

Elisa: Well it sure beats cold men and hot wine ; ) I'll bring at least the SPF15 lotion.

David: I hope your weather warms up soon in your area, and try that fresh spaghetti from the trees. The best stuff.

Brigita: That is why I am here. To give you all the good scoop.

We have very LOOOOOONG angel hair spaghetti growing here on the Redwood Trees. The rain makes them very wiggly.

Fun post Gary.  I"m glad I'm not the only one posting snow pictures today.  And, as I'm trying to learn about creating videos...this one is inspiring.  It tells me that I should have figured out the video concept a long time ago.

Hella: So it is the Redwood Trees where the angel hair version comes from Ha Ha. Good one.

Sondra: Where we had almost 90 degrees for a high where I live I am reminded of early spring snows in northern states and states with high elevation so the snow is not over. Keep up the good work with the videos, it is the wave of the future.

Hi, Gary.  I saw the spaghetti pickings years ago and thought it was very believable.  You can't fool me--don't they grow like corn?

The vanishing snowman... ha, ha.  Just last week we had four inches of snow all of a sudden.

Yolanda: It is weird with late snows, but hey weather is unpredictable, I know some states get snow in May. Wild. What? You don't believe about the most choice spaghetti pickings? Those Italians prune and cultivate all year just to get to this moment to pick THE VERY BEST spaghetti crop LOL. Oh the corn version spaghetti? That is a different species like Vermicelli or something like that Ha Ha.

Gary, because the snow is still on the ground here, we are waiting until mid-month to harvest our spaghetti crop.  I can't wait....I have the sauce simmering now.  And soon, I will plant the Parmesan and Romano to go with it.
