We couldn't find that user in our system.

Recently I underwent an appendectomy. Since then I have had some problems with my car and my school bills are coming active since it has now been 6 months since I graduated.

So, as I was doing some research on getting leads I asked myself:

Would it be wrong of me to accept 35-45% referral fee's if the leads were hot?

I have the time and could definitely use any extra cash.

So, what do you think?

If you know of anyone looking to move or invest in Idaho please let me know.

Hey Nick...here's to a speedy recovery!  My take on referrals has always been, "Pay more take less".  When I get a referral from another agent I typically take no more than 25%.  When referring clients out I usually ask for a 20% referral fee.  That way they remember me and no matter how you slice it...it's business I would most likely never had gotten.  Good luck and all the best.

Referral fees are always negotiable... it really depends on the degree of work involved. However, be aware that you can quickly build a reputation based upon your percentages- both positive and negative.
