She plans to have several captains and crew for each of the different events. Speaker: Tom Gentile- Tax Specialist/Accountant Topic: Tax Implications of the new Health Care Law Separating Fact from Fiction. Tom is a local boy and Angels fan. He went through the various aspects of the new Health Care Law and talked about how some low income earners would get government subsidies; small business owners with less than 25 employees earning an average of $40K or less would receive a tax credit. He spoke about the the mandate for coverage which is the most controversial part of the law. He also let us know that even the law requires that you state how much you pay for health insurance on your tax return, that you will not be taxed for that.
