With the ever change world of Real Estate and growing number of houses and foreclosures we need to be reminded about the power of Networking! Real Estate is such a large industry that it is hard to truly be dominant and a one man one stop resource for everything concerning Real Estate. If we stop and look at the different worlds of Real Estate we can loose focus and sight of our goals. For instance, we have to be knowledgable in Land, Development, Residential, Condos, Commercial, and so forth. Now it is probably great to be in a niche market or just specialize in a certain market segment, so we can become an expert in that realm. This brings me to power of networking.
Over the next several months we are going to need learn to lean on each other in other industries and on other Realtors. I realize that there are many cuthroat agents out there and you can just forget about working with them. However to move past them in the upcoming market conditions we as Realtors need to start networking with other agents of different companies. Yes I know they are the competition but they are also a source of knowlege. With the ever growing inventory of homes on the market its important to maintain a relationship with agents in your area. Think about meeting once every two weeks for coffee or lunch just to talk about business and how you can help your local market...Challenge each other to price Real Estate the right way and to educate the consumer instead of making empty promises. The more we know and the more people we help out can lead to a more positive image, industry, and respect in the business.
