As school districts throughout Southern California deal with budget cuts, Chino Valley Unified School District has come up with an innovative plan to raise funds. They are looking to the popularity of food truck festivals as a revenue source.
The school district has partnered with the Chino Hills-based Launch Lady Marketing Group to bring a food truck festival to the Chino Valley for the first time. The event is scheduled from 3 to 7 p.m. April 9, 2010 at Don Lugo High School. The Chino Valley Foodie Truck Fundraiser will host more than a dozen of the region's gourmet food trucks.
Event tickets are $6 in advance and $8 the day of the event. Two dollars per ticket are expected to go to the school PTA that sells the tickets.
