Recently property has been taking longer to sell than in the past. Homes that used to go under contract in under 30 days are now taking up to 90 days to sell. As people become more weary of waiting for that one special buyer to come along, they've started to employ some unique techniques for selling their home. The most common "spell" I have noticed clients using is the St. Joseph home selling ritual. The first step to this is to purchase a small St. Joseph statue. Then you bury it upside down and facing away from the house. Once this is done, you say a daily prayer to St. Joseph. Statues usually come with sample prayers. Right after closing, dig up the statue and put it in a place of honor in your new home.
Much less common is a feng shui "release" ritual. People place items from their home in a red envelope. They should be of different feng shui "elements". For example a nail, dirt, and a wood scrap from a home. You place them in an envelope and toss it into the closest quick moving river. In this way, people believe they are quickly releasing the home so it can go to a new family. Feng shui can also help sell your home by using feng shui design elements to make a home more welcoming and inviting to a potential new buyer. Some feng shui tips to make your home inviting seem obvious like having it spotlessly clean and uncluttered but some tips are a little unusual in the midwest like painting your front door red or having a bright carpet or runner to draw your through the home.
My favorite magic trick to sell a home is to bake cookies. I baked cookies for one showing on the last house I sold and the people who looked at it after the baking bought it!
