Chasco Fiesta in New Port Richey-FLorida - Native American Dancers

By
Real Estate Agent with Sailwinds Realty
Chasco Fiesta 2011 in New Port Richey-Florida is about to wind up tomorrow after a very successful event.
Native American  Night in the Park is the opening event for the entire festival and native american dancers perform Thursday through Sunday.

Chasco Fiesta

Tomorrow evening, the festival will be over, the carnival rides will be gone, and the people of New Port Richey will have to wait for another year to go by to see it again. It was a lot of fun, brought a lot of money into the area, and helped a lot of non-profit organizations make money for their charities. Congratulations and thanks to our Chasco Fiesta committees for all their hard work.

Toni - I have always enjoyed the Native American Indian events, I've managed to attend.  I had a brother, who married a beautiful full blood Indian woman.  Occassionally, I would attend similar events to this one with her.

There's so much color and detail in their costumes, and probably a lot of cultural significance, too. Very nice slide show, Toni.

Toni,

As a kid, I frequently saw Native American Indian dancers and it always made me sit with fascination. I wanted to dance with them! The feathers on those constumes are beautiful. I'll bet it was fun to watch! Your slide show was very well done!

Great story on localism!

Patricia

Hi Toni~ The colors are so bright and cheerful.  I can only imagine how wonderful the dancing must be.  I'm sure it's something the folks of Port Richey and the surrounding areas look forward to each year.

Such beautiful colors!  It is great that these dances and the heritage behind them are being preserved.  My daughter had a program at her school a few years back that was just lovely.
