PEFYA BaseballBaseball anyone?  Softball? It is the season! And Prince Edward Farmville Youth League is alive and well. April 1, 2011 started the season for spring baseball and softball for the Prince Edward Youth League. It is the season of nights and nights of practice and games. I have spent so many hours at the fields I should have a seat named after me!

The PEFYA youth league has been bringing family fun and good baseball, softball, basketball and soccer to the area's youth for 30+ years. Hundreds and hundreds of youth benefit from this association year after year. All Star Team from 2005

The association receives donations from local businesses to sponsor the shirts and hats.  This year there will be a Real Living Cornerstone softball team! The team I choose to sponsor has my Matthew's girlfriend playing.  This year my boys are too old for the league, but I am sure we will spend considerable time following our favorite teams.

The fields are lit and well maintained.  It is an association run by volunteers.  The coaches, the concession stand, the field, everything is done by volunteers.

So this year, bring your family out to the ball-field.  Come watch some of the best kids around!  It will provide hours and hours of good healthy family entertainment.  And oh by the way, its free.  Bring money for a hot-dog!  You will be glad you did.

Hi Navona!  It's been a while since our children played softball......those games were so much fun especially on pretty Spring days.  Now we have a dancer and a volleyball player and their activities are indoors, but still lots of fun to watch them.

Navona ~ it's so much fun reading the local post because they exemplify a lifestyle and community which is what a home is all about. I drove by the park this morning just to see the happy, eager faces. Have a great weekend.
